Course Overview
The University Foundation Programme (UFP) Business & Finance Foundation Pathway is an intensive one year foundation course, which will prepare you for a wide range of Business or Finance bachelor degrees.
The UFP Business and Finance Foundation course will educate students in the practices of commerce. Students will learn the fundamentals of numeracy, communication and computer skills in the first term. Students will then begin to specialize in their subject area by picking their relevant modules in terms two and three.
The UFP London Campus is based in the City of London, one of the world’s leading centers for commerce and global finance. Course Modules
In the first term students complete the three minor modules. In terms 2 and 3, students choose three major modules from a selection of subjects.

American High School Diploma
Successfully complete the high school diploma with a cumulative GPA of 3.2 on a 4.0 scale.
Dual Diploma Students – National High School Diploma PLUS partial or full completion of International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma, SAT or APs or A levels
Students will be assessed on the basis of their National High School Diploma only. Students will need to demonstrate previous study of required subjects for certain Foundation courses. See below for details by country.

555 in three International Baccalaureate Certificates (taken at standard or higher level)
International Baccalaureate Career-related Programme (IBCP)
A grade of ‘Pass’ in the CP core, and two IB Diploma Programme Certificates (taken at standard or higher level) at 5
IELTS Academic 5.5 overall with no skill below 5.5
Pearson Test of English (Academic) 59 overall with a minimum of 54 in each communicative
skill
TOEFL iBT (Including Home Edition) 80 overall with a minimum of 20 in each skills
Teaching & Assessment
The Business & Finance foundation course is continually assessed, thus removing the pressure of an end of year examination. There will be mid-term examinations throughout the course and an end-of-term examination for each module. In addition, students are required to complete coursework. We offer a university approved syllabus which fully prepares students for their undergraduate studies. Our teachers are highly qualified and are specialists in their field. The exceptional standard of education allows students to make a smooth transition to undergraduate degree level.
Course Term Dates
Start in September or January
There are two start dates for our foundation courses – September and January.
Depending on when prospective students finish their senior school studies, they have the option of beginning their course sooner or slightly later. Both complete in time for a September start at university the following year.
Holidays
Holidays vary depending on when students start the course.
Those starting the University Foundation Programme in September, will have a 3-week holiday over Christmas and New Year, and a 1-week holiday over Ramadan holiday.
Those starting in January will have a 1-week holiday over Ramadan holiday.
